Every year, millions of used tires are discarded, posing as a potential environmental hazard. However, end-of-life tires do not mean it is also end-of-use. In fact, used tires can be turned into highly valuable source of energy. Kacima Energy is dedicated to recycling end-of-life tires into renewed source of energy through pyrolysis technology.

Tyre Pyrolysis Oil (TPO) is a product derived from the pyrolysis process of end-of-life tires. Pyrolysis is a process in which tires are heated in an oxygen-free environment, which prevents the polymers from burning. This process produced TPO and various other valuable chemicals such as benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, xylene (BTEX), and limonene. TPO can also be further refined into higher-value products.
Additionally, this process produces carbon black and steel wire scraps, which can be used for various industrial purposes. A single pyrolysis process yields numerous valuable materials and products.

End-of-life tires from various sources are collected, sorted, and cleaned of contaminants as preparation for the pyrolysis process.
Prepared tires are cut into smaller sizes to facilitate the pyrolysis process.
The shredded tires are processed in a pyrolysis reactor and heated in an oxygen-free environment.
As the tires are heated, they produce gases that are then condensed using a cooling system. The result is a variety of valuable materials, including TPO.
TPO is ready to be stored and used for various purposes, such as in the boiler industry. TPO can also be further refined into higher-value materials.
